ExMP61R-1 is a rechargeable, intrinsically safe, explosion-proof LED headlamp that is powered by a 3.6 V 3350 mAh lithium battery. The lamp has an indicator that shows the charge level and starts to flash 15 minutes before the battery is fully discharged. The Ex headlamp is suitable for use in coal mines, Zone 0/1/2 and Zone 21/22. The light can be bent by up to 108° and therefore offers several lighting angle options. The high luminosity of the flashlight is maintained even during the discharge cycle. The housing is made of high-performance nylon, which is permanently antistatic, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, oil-resistant and resistant to ageing.

The lamp can be attached to clothing using a clip. Axcom also offers a headband and a helmet mounting set.
