MTZ = metal price surcharge

For years, some lead-acid battery manufacturers have been using the MTZ to compensate for fluctuations in raw material prices. In the past, however, these fluctuations were so minor that they had little effect on the final price. As this is no longer the case, axcom now passes on the MTZ to customers on a 1:1 basis for the relevant products.
